Virtual Students: CES virtual students will have their picture taken at CES and can come at 8:15 in the morning. HHS & HMS virtual students will have their picture taken at the A. L. Hutson between 8-11 am and should have more information in their student email.

Virtual students may go to the Sharp County Health office this week to receive their flu shot or come to the school flu clinic on October 5. We will have a registration packet available for parents to fill out upon arrival. Due to COVID guidelines, our clinic will be for students and Highland employees only. No other family members or community members will be given shots.

Reminder: Tomorrow is talk like a pirate day! Students can dress up in pirate attire(leave the swords at home) or say their best "ahoy matey" throughout the day.

Reminder: Student vaccinations must be up-to-date. If your student needed an additional vaccination this year(students turning 11, 16, and some of those going into 7th grade), your student needs to have gotten their vaccination, notified the school nurse of an appointment to get their vaccination, or completed paperwork to be part of the vaccination clinic by September 25. To find out if your student needs a shot, call the Sharp County Department of Health at 994-7364. Feel free to call your school nurse with any questions.
The seventh grade and junior high football teams play at Pocahontas on Thursday night. Ticket vouchers for the game will be available in the high school office Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 am - 2 pm or until we run out of vouchers.

CES students will return to school tomorrow! The interior of the school is not damaged, the area has been aired out, and the air conditioners are working.
Cherokee Elementary School students will have a remote(learn from home) day tomorrow. Teachers will contact you with additional details tomorrow morning. Teachers, faculty, and staff should all report to school tomorrow. HMS and HHS will have school as usual.
