Any student who wants meals during the break may pick them up between 10 am - 12 pm on Friday. Distribution will be at the elementary school cafeteria side door. If the time will not work for you, call (870) 257-3118 by 2 pm on Thursday to make arrangements.

UPDATES for the virtual learning week of Dec. 14-18
MEALS: Tomorrow, meals for the week can be picked up! The distribution will be from 11 am -12 pm at each school's cafeteria back doors. Students who were already virtual, your meals will be picked up at your normal locations/times.

COVID-19: Since the last update, one HHS student and one HMS student have tested positive. All close contacts have been notified. Remember to contact Megan Kulczycki at (629) 888-3798 throughout the break if you suspect your student has COVID-19 or is showing symptoms of COVID-19.
The band concert will begin at 2:30. You MUST have a voucher to attend in person, but everyone can watch online thanks to HHSTV!

The Highland School District will be going all virtual Monday - Friday, December 14-18, due to the increasing positive staff cases of COVID-19. School WILL be in session and buses will run tomorrow, Friday, December 11, at regular times to prepare students for remote learning. Students are expected to continue with virtual learning from home the following week. On-site school instruction will resume after Christmas break on Monday, January 4. Additional information will be forthcoming.
The Christmas Choir Concert scheduled for Thursday has been canceled.
HMS will continue taking donations through tomorrow! If you do not have a student in middle school and want to donate, you can place a donation in a drop bin at the entrance to the school. More information here:

We now have 50 General Admission vouchers for HOME games! Vouchers will be available at the high school office on the day of every HOME game from 9 am until 2 pm. The vouchers will ONLY be available on the day of the game. Vouchers are limited to two per person and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Remember all games are also live-streamed if you want to watch from home. Highland Athletics is following all CDC, ADH, and ADE rules, regulations, and guidelines regarding COVID-19.

As part of a coordinated response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in partnership with the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas has developed this Parent/Guardian Survey for soliciting family input on what is working now and what may be considered for the future.
Parent Survey purpose
The survey seeks to involve families in an organized, ongoing and timely way in planning, review, and improvement. The survey—which will remain open for two (2) weeks—will provide feedback regarding:
* family concerns
* how families are making decisions
* family awareness of options and resources available
* family considerations for the future
The intention of this survey is not to identify individual district responses, but rather to establish an understanding of the state as a whole. The information will be aggregated by region only; therefore, families will be asked to identify the region of the state in which they live in order to understand the distribution of the survey without specifically identifying any district by name.
The survey will close on Friday, November 20. OEP will be sharing results at the December State Board meeting.
